The Process to Bring Your Vision to Life
Creating your dream art or fine art portrait is a collaborative journey. Our process is designed to ensure that every detail is carefully crafted, giving you a personalized experience and a final product that exceeds your expectations. Here’s how we make it happen:
01. Book a Call
We begin with a discovery call to understand your vision. This helps us align on the look and feel you want to achieve, whether it’s a dreamy scene or a classic portrait.
02. Plan the Details
We’ll get a concept design over for approval, select locations if needed, decide on outfits, props, makeup, and any other detail to bring your vision to life.
03. Capture the Moment
We’ll take your photos, you’ll select your favorites, and we’ll begin the editing process. Turnaround time depends on your dream art piece and the number of pictures.
04. Jump for Joy
In a few weeks, your photos will be ready! Pick them up at our Annandale photography studio or have your prints delivered to your home at no extra cost.

How far in advance should I book a photography session?
It’s best to book your session as early as possible. Portrait sessions typically book out several weeks in advance, especially for dream art. If you have a specific date or season in mind, we recommend reaching out as early as possible to secure your spot.
What should I wear for my session?
Once your session is booked, we’ll guide you through outfit suggestions tailored to your vision. We want you to feel confident and comfortable — and we’re happy to help you coordinate looks that photograph beautifully.
What’s the difference between dream art and fine art?
Dream art is highly imaginative and digitally hand-crafted, bringing fantasy scenes to life with your child or family as the stars. Fine art is more classic and grounded — think timeless portraits with professional lighting and editing, perfect for heirloom pieces.
How long do dream art sessions take?
The shoot is about 15 minutes and takes place in our studio in front of a gray background. You and your kids will be dressed up, have props, or whatever else should be part of the scene
The rest of the work is done behind the computer. We spend 20 to 30 hours creating a dream art masterpiece that is surreal and photo realistic.
How does the fine art photography process work?
We start with a conversation about your vision — from the type of portrait to styling, wardrobe, and overall look. Sessions are typically held in my photography studio and last about two hours for individuals or 30–45 minutes for families.
After the shoot, you’ll choose your favorite images and any wall art or keepsakes you’d like. A few weeks later, your finished portraits are ready for pickup or free delivery to your home.
What if I don't live in the DMV?
If you’re interested in dream art photography but aren’t local, still reach out! We work with families all over the country and can talk about a long-distance project.
You’ll send in your photo, and we’ll collaborate virtually to bring your vision to life. Your finished artwork is then printed, packaged, and shipped right to your door.
Can I gift a session to someone else?
Yes! Dream art, fine art, and portrait sessions make thoughtful, meaningful gifts for family and friends. Reach out to start a conversion with Photoberg on how to get started.
What kind of prints can I order?
Each dream art session comes with a 16×24 wall art print to hang in your home. Fine art portraits do not come with digital or physical prints, unless otherwise requested.
How long does it take to get my final images?
Most sessions are completed and delivered within a few weeks. Dream art portraits may take a bit longer depending on the complexity of the piece. I’ll always keep you updated along the way so you know when to expect your finished artwork.
Can you deliver the final photos to my home?
You can pick up your finished portraits at my Annandale studio or have them delivered right to your door at no extra charge. I want the final step of your experience to feel just as personal and polished as the rest.
